I did this book for my mother for Mother's Day. She couldn't stop talking about it. Every time I spoke to her on the phone for weeks, afterwards, she mentioned her book. Our family lives all over the country and it was so neat to be able to have everyone, including her grandchildren, tell her how much they loved her and why. Your page headings really helped people express themselves. She keeps her book by her bedside and often tells me that just seeing it or touching it in the morning makes her feel loved. I just wanted to share with you the results of my Dad's book. Dad was so touched -- and the man never shows emotion! He said it was a "three kleenexer"! He said that he didn't realize how many people truly cared for him, and what an impact he had on others. The book was something that was better than any extravagant purchase I could have made for him.

I am not a very creative person and this helped me do something for my Dad that no one else has ever done. One side of our family is all ready creating a book for our reunion next year. The word is out!!!!!!!

PS. We lost Dad in February 2001. With the help of CelebrateAHero.com, many people were able to express their appreciation for Dad. When he passed away, I expanded his book to include cards, etc. I still read Dad's book from time to time, and I have many laughs and tears!!!!!!!

I started a book for my husband after his death. It gives me great peace going into his book and talking to him. I felt it very fit to have a lasting memory of accounts from family and friends. This is helping so many of us cope with the sudden and devastating loss of my husband who was only 46 years old. My Mom was in hospice and did not have long to live. I wanted to let her know how much she was loved. Your site gave our whole family the opportunity to express themselves through pictures and words. It was so easy for everyone to just access the internet and make a contribution. She was so touched by the book that she had the hospice worker read it to her everyday for three weeks. She recently passed away and we buried her with the book. Fortunately, I can print another copy to keep for myself.
